Open Position: Business Manager

The E.O. Wilson Biodiversity Foundation is seeking a Business Manager to lead the administrative and operational activities of the Foundation, and support programmatic activities. In addition, the Business Manager will support CRM technology, and facilitate communications with donors, staff and partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Maintaining the overall effectiveness and functions of the Foundation’s office:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the office, including mail and routine

correspondence.

  • Organizing and maintaining files and records, including data organization and backup.
  • Answering or directing inquiries.

Providing a leadership role in supporting the transition to a new CRM, including logistics, implementation, coordination, and staff communication.

 

2) Support the organization in establishing, managing and leveraging relationships with event

attendees and donors:

  • Manage annual Half-Earth Day event planning, including agenda, speaker coordination, VIP

guest lists, invitations and receptions.

  • Provide technical support and coordination for virtual events, including Voices and Places webinar series.

 

3) Coordinate activities in support of the Core Team and Board of Directors:

  • Schedule meetings and make associated arrangements
  • Document and coordinate next steps and follow-up
  • Coordinate logistics, procedures and suitable resources to support team effectiveness, including IT support
  • Support conference logistics for EOWBF delegations, including for COP15

 

4) Provide executive assistance and administrative support to the President of the Foundation.

The Business Manager will report to the President & CEO and will partner with executive leadership to support the overall objectives of the Half-Earth Project. S/he will have a key administrative role in contributing to the vision for Half-Earth and advancing the success of the Half-Earth Project.
