Half-Earth Day 2021 Full Schedule and Speaker Lineup

The E.O. Wilson Biodiversity Foundation and the Eden Project have released the full schedule of events and speaker lineup for Half-Earth Day 2021, October 22. Speakers will join this virtual summit from around the world, and live from the Royal Geographical Society in London in an event hosted by the Eden Project. The event is free and open to the public with registration. Tickets for the in-person event in London are limited.

We are pleased to welcome the world’s leading scientists, thinkers, and conservationists to Half-Earth Day, including Sir David Attenborough, E.O. Wilson, and Sir Tim Smit, alongside Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim, Razan Al Mubarak, and Johan Rockström for plenary sessions. Several Science and Conservation sessions will feature scientists from several leading universities, museums, and institutes, including Walter Jetz, Stefan Pinkert, Andy Purvis, and Nina Bhola among others. The Education and Technology sessions feature educators, curators, and ecologists from a variety of organizations and schools, like London Park City and Natural History Museum of London, including Dennis Liu, Erica McAlister, and Lee Davies, and many more. The Business and Community sessions feature business leaders, investors, influential conservationists and CEOs from Citi, Houdini, CBRE, and the Long Run, including Keith Tuffley, Eva Karlsson, Delphine Malleret King, Kris Tompkins and more.

The day’s events will also bring the voices of the community supporting Half-Earth through short films that will air throughout the day and be made available for viewing anytime during the event for registered attendees. They include films from Esri, the National Audubon Society, The Long Run, and the Redford Center and others. Further details to be announced soon.
