COP15 storytelling event that celebrates the practical solutions and partnerships that will be critical to achieving a nature positive future and 30×30, featuring IUCN, TNC, and EOWBF.
Join Walter Jetz, Scientific Chair of the E.O. Wilson Biodiversity Foundation, as he talks 30×30, Half-Earth, biodiversity monitors, and goals like Target 3 at “Biodiversity Solutions Hour” at the Nature Positive Pavilion at COP15 in Montreal. Other speakers include IUCN, and TNC. Watch the livestream at 5:30 pm here.
This lively event will introduce examples of nature-based solution case studies, through brief “TED-talk”-like presentations of the solutions or scripted live performance (i.e. theater), based on storytelling elements, which may include costumes, props, audio and visual elements. It will also introduce Half-Earth, PANORAMA (a global learning and knowledge exchange initiative which promotes good practice examples for biodiversity and sustainable development), an award-winning project on community-led mangrove management to protect coastal ecosystems and livelihoods in Madagascar, and an integrated landscape-conservation project in Taiwan, Indigenous and Local Community leadership in conservation, and innovation in conservation finance.
